How
does your service work?
Simply create an online ad for your vehicle
on SmarterCarDeals.com and it will appear in
our used car listings. Your ad will automatically
run for 30 days, unless you delete it. You may
purchase Premium or Platinum listings and get
unlimited renewals. You may edit your ad at
any time prior to the expiration of your ad
for no additional fee by logging into your My
Account or Edit my Ad in the Sell section.

Who
will see my ad?
Your Ad will be viewed by the largest ONLINE
audience in the tri-state area of New York,
New Jersey and Connecticut that is actively
shopping for your make and model of car. Remember,
these shoppers often are willing to drive to
where the car is in the tri-state.

How
long will my ad run?
Your listing will remain on the SmarterCarDeals.com
site for 30 days, unless you delete it. If you
purchase Premium or Platinum listings, you can
renew your ad for 60 days at any time. (Note:
You must renew your ad on or before day 60 or
it will be removed from the listings and deleted
from our system.)

How soon will my used
car ad be displayed on SmarterCarDeals.com?
Most ads will be posted on our site immediately
upon submission. |

Can I run multiple used
car ads at the same time?
Yes. Each ad is charged separately. |

How
will prospective buyers contact me?
Prospective buyers can contact you by phone
or by e-mail. You choose the contact information
you want to display in your listing when you
create your ad.

What
if no one buys my vehicle?
If no prospective buyers are biting, you can
edit your ad at any time, adjusting the price,
adding/changing photos, etc. And if you purchase
Premium or Platinum listings, you can renew
your ad on SmarterCarDeals.com indefinitely
for no extra charge, provided you renew your
ad before its scheduled expiration date.

What
is your refund policy?
CarsDirect.com does not generally provide refunds
of used car listing fees. We will provide a
full refund only under limited circumstances.

| Creating an
Ad |
Why
can't I find my vehicle model in the pull-down
menus on the start page?
We accept private party listings for all vehicle
models that can be searched on our site.
If you cannot find your vehicle model in the
pull-down menus, we currently do not support
that model.

What type of vehicle
images do you accept?
You can upload the following types of digital
photos: JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg, jpe), GIF (.gif), TIFF
(.tif, .tiff), and Windows Bitmap (.bmp). Images
must be no larger than 640 pixels wide by 480
pixels high. Maximum file size for all the images
is 5 MB. |

How
many photos can I show?
For a standard listing, you can upload one photo.
If you would like to show more than one photo,
you can purchase Multiple Photos for a nominal
fee. With Multiple Photos, you can upload up
to 5 photos of your vehicle.

What
if I don’t have a photo of my vehicle?
We recommend that you include a photo of your
used vehicle in your ad; however it is not required.
If you don’t have a photo available at
the time you submit your listing, you can come
back and add one later by logging in to you’re
My Account or Edit my Ad in the Sell section.

What's
a VIN and is it required?
Every vehicle produced since 1981 has a unique
vehicle identification number, or VIN. This
17-character serial number can be found on the
driver's side of the dashboard where it meets
the windshield.
Although this field is optional when creating
an ad, we recommend including it whenever possible.
Some prospective buyers like to have a VIN so
that they can research a vehicle's history and
make sure it doesn't have a salvage title.

How
do I pay for my ad?
We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express
and electronic checks links to either your checking or
savings account. Please note that for transactions valued
at more than $600, you can only pay by American Express,
Discover or electronic checks.

Is
my credit card transaction secure?
SmarterCarDeals.com uses state-of-the-art security
technology to protect and keep your private
information confidential. All submitted credit
card numbers, social security numbers and/or
employment information is encrypted via our
secure server.

| Maintaining
an Ad |
Can
I delete, edit or renew my ad?
Yes. You can delete or edit your ad, by logging
in to your My Account with your email address
and password. And if you purchase a Premium
or Platinum listing, you must renew your Ad
on or before day 60 to keep your Ad active past
the 60 days. Please remember this renewal is
FREE and if you do not renew, it will be removed
from the listings and deleted from our system.
You can also through your account delete your
Ad. PLEASE NOTE THAT ONCE YOU DELETE YOUR AD
YOU WILL NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT.
To have access thereafter will entail you signing
up afresh and placing a new Ad at a fee.

What
changes can I make to my ad?
You can edit anything in your ad except the
make, model ,year and VIN of your used vehicle.
